house speaker john boehner. is he an effective leader? >> of course. he has been the leader for several years and very strong leader in opposition to president obama. and what we saw was it really set up what the next couple weeks are going to be. is it going to be more of the same from president obama with which speaker boehner helped identify. are we going to see more of the president kicking the can down the road on spending? i think on the campaign trail during the presidential election, americans heard a lot about from president obama we need to take care of our children's future and get spending under control. and then the first thing he does coming out of the gates is really continue to kick the can down the road. so i think this is really what we're going to see. we have the sequestration. more talks on the debt ceiling. that's really what the next several weeks is going to be. >> back to the fracturing within the party though we saw the house republicans and then the senate republicans working pretty much against each other in this fiscal clif
